... been in love with this portrait for as long as i can remember. annie leibovitz said she saw tears in blythe danner's eyes during the shoot, "it's been so long since i held my daughter," danner said. happy birthday mom, i love you!

    I was thinking the same...I hug her all the time, my daughter, but I can't imagine what this was like...quite emotional I'm sure. Mother's try and separate themselves, so they can allow their daughter's to grow up, and that is very difficult for a mother so once you hang on, you don't want to let them go. Stunningly beautiful portrait.
